TOV LIFESTYLE | 49 | A Spa Day at Premier 57 This Korean spa on E. 57th St. changed my entire self-mediation/healing game. The winters are rough and can be physically and mentally draining so it's always nice to step away from our normal day to day routine and rejuvinate. This spa has it all. It has saunas, indoor and outdoor heated pools and a wide variety of spa services that include massages, hydrotherapy facials, and (my absolute favorite) the Korean body scrubs. The entire experience is designed to both relax, detox and realign you. I promise you will not be disappointed. Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club Oddly enough, there's a movement in Brooklyn and Chicago that is on a mission to bring shuffleboard back. After booking a reservation for a cabana at the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club you'll understand why. They offer a cool little day or night spot where visitors can go spend a few hours competing in interactive games. They have a live DJ with a full dance floor and even life-size board games like Jenga and Connect-4. When you're all gamed out head to the full bar and Royal Palms' weekly rotating crème de la crème food trucks. Check it out! Afternoon Tea at the Two E Bar & Lounge One of my favorite things to do in the winter is layer up in my finest sweater and head somewhere snazzy! The Pierre hotel has a lovely little lounge/ bar perfect for a date or an outing with the gals. Two E Bar is smaller and cozier than most lounges and has some of the best ambiance in the city. The decor is old world style, fitting for an afternoon tea. They have fresh baked goods, homemade jams and a wide variety of specialty teas. After hours, the traditional English vibes shift and this lounge becomes slightly noisier and cocktails are served. All in all, this place is a great spot to visit. Old Fashion Movie Night at the Metrograph Winter calls for a movie nights in while the wind and snow howl outside. Let's be honest though, Netflix is so been-there-done-that and sometimes you want the full experience. Metrograph Theaters is definately worth the trip! Located in the lower east side, this theater is known for old, foreign and independent films. The seats and decor are top notch and they offer a Hollywood style cafe that serves some really good food and specialty drinks. Besides the great food and movie selections, visiting this spot is like stepping back in time. It's a nod to a simpler time when we watched movies for catharsis and entertainment.
