the art
a r t i c l e
of customer service
Since the beginning of time, art has played a vital role in the communication among people. A picture is used to tell a story,
convey a feeling and to preserve one's history. For me, communication is something that is expressed not only through words,
but through facial reactions and body language. I have always found the study of people fascinating. We are complex and we
communicate through means that do not necessarily include sound. While audible language distinguishes us and separates
us, body language and physical expression do the opposite. It connects us in a way where personal beliefs and preferences are
irrelevant. All that matters is the shared experience of being human. This sensitivity towards people and our shared experiences
is vital in maintaining relationships and building trust. The art of communication and customer service is mastered when one
learns to decipher the silent dialogue, the things that the customer has not yet said, but has, in a way, expressed.
